Today marks the one month anniversary of our ElliptiGO journey. We have ridden approximately 850 miles!!! Sounds like a lot, but really it breaks down to just 28.33 miles a day. As the days warm up, the more miles we’ll be putting in.
We’ve encountered downpours, thunderstorms, mist, fog, chilly temps, winds, as well as sun (thankfully), gorgeous scenery: Redwoods, forests, canyons, cliffs, and beaches. We’ve also encountered amazing wildlife: elk, deer, bald eagles, otters, pelicans, bear, skunks, raccoons, blue herron, egrets, condor, and other beautiful birds.
Along our journey we’ve met incredible individuals that have become friends, and other cyclists embarking on their own journeys: Alaska to Argentina, Sweden flown to Vancouver riding to Baha, Belgium flown to (can’t remember) riding to San Francisco, Australians’ flown to (Canada ?) riding to Baha, and many folks riding from Portland to San Francisco. We are blessed and encouraged by all those we have meet, and will meet—“angels” along the way.
We look forward to the next thirty days—ya never know what each day will bring! Thanks to all of you for your continued interest and support!!!
Ciao for now,
Gary and Rebecca Hartrick
