Anniversary Trial Run!

We set off for a trial trailer run July 8th-11th, and it was phenomenal! 197.4 miles in 4 days, and 11,600+in elevation...yes, this is what we do for fun! :-)

Day 1: we rode our ElliptiGO's and 60lb trailers from our home in West Linn, Oregon to Rainbow Campground located in Mount Hood National Forest (47.1 miles)

Day 2: Rainbow Campground to Detroit Lake (52.7 miles)

When you go down a 10% grade hill, your rim can get hot = possible flat. But, we were prepared!

Lunch time = ham, tomato, cucumber sandwhich

Day 3: Detroit Lake to Silverton (this was the most grueling due to elevation, heat, and distance). We were going to stay at Silver Falls Campground, but nothing. So we continued on for 17 additional miles and stayed at the Oregon Garden Resort! After all, it was our Anniversary lol. So, what should have been 45 miles, turned into 62.3 miles!

Day 4: Oregon Garden Resort to home-the easiest ride on this trip (35.3 miles), because we didn't have much climbing to do, which my legs were thankful for. The day prior seemed like nothing but climbing! :-) Side note: I think we were tired cuz there's only a couple pics lol

This trip was all in all successful! We had exactly what we needed--now we're just looking forward to the "real deal", which will be at the end of September. Stay tuned ;-)
