Trailer Training

Well, yesterday we hooked up our trailers to our 'GO's as a preliminary trial to see how well we can navigate with the added length and drag. Needless to say--it was entertaining!

Our trailers are attached to our bikes on opposite sides, so I am "right" and Gary is "left". Hahahahah, (finally something in favor of me being "right" lol). it was interesting to see how long we are with everything all hooked up--long stride, long ride! That being said, we needed to take things slower than usual around corners and across the bumpy, root ravaged terrain.

Gary was a little off on his judgement going across the Gladstone bridge. His left trailer wheel just nicked the bridge post and he just about launched his trailer into the Clackamette River (if it weren't connected to his bike). Thankfully, he did not lose balance or chuck himself over!!! I will say, riding behind him is entertaining :-)

As for me, I realized that taking right turns is not in my favor, but lefts are. Now, if only my arms were long enough to reach my trailer and my handlebars. GO GO gadget arms!!! :-)

Tip:

If you’re gonna ride through Malibu, do not do it on a Thursday! Thursday is garbage day and you’ll have either receptacles or cars...
